On the UK Simone Pérèle site, bras are presented in UK band sizing, so your usual UK size is a sensible starting point. The most important adjustment is usually the cup construction. A lightweight 3D spacer cup flexes differently from a rigid moulded cup, an unlined embroidered cup or a half-cup bra, so two Simone Pérèle styles can feel quite different in the same labelled size.

The underband should sit level and firm, the wires should fully surround the breast tissue and the centre front should sit against the breastbone where the bra shape allows. A spacer cup should lie smoothly over the bust without gaping at the top, while an unlined lace or embroidered cup should contain the breast without cutting in along the neckline.

If you are choosing a lower plunge or half cup, expect less upper coverage by design rather than automatically interpreting visible cleavage as a sizing problem. Conversely, if breast tissue is escaping at the sides or over the cup edge, compare a larger cup or a fuller-coverage shape.

• Choose a 3D spacer bra when you want an exceptionally light, breathable smooth cup with no added bulk.
• Choose a plunge when you need a lower centre front for open necklines while retaining underwired support.
• Choose a half cup when you want lift from underneath the bust and a more open, horizontal neckline.
• Choose an unlined lace or embroidered bra when you prefer a lighter cup and more visible French detailing.
• Choose a full-cup style when containment and upper-bust coverage are more important than a very low neckline.
• Choose shapewear such as Subtile when you want smoothing through the body as well as lingerie-level fit and finish.

Simone Pérèle uses a broad mix of polyester, polyamide and elastane, with each fibre doing a different job. Polyester is particularly important in 3D spacer cups because it can be knitted into a light, breathable three-dimensional structure. Polyamide creates fine, strong lace and mesh, while elastane gives the band, lace and cup edges stretch and recovery.

The percentages change according to bra shape even inside one collection. Andora’s current 3D moulded bra is 79% polyester, 11% elastane and 10% polyamide; Caresse 3D plunge is 69% polyester, 21% polyamide and 10% elastane; Comète 3D plunge is 58% polyester, 29% polyamide and 13% elastane; and Délice 3D moulded is 66% polyester, 21% polyamide and 13% elastane. These are style-specific compositions, not universal formulas for the whole collection.

Simone Pérèle recommends hand washing many current bras at a maximum of 30°C. Avoid bleach, tumble drying, ironing and dry cleaning unless the individual care label specifically states otherwise. Handle spacer and moulded cups gently, do not wring them and allow them to dry naturally away from direct heat.
