Shock Absorber relies mainly on polyamide, polyester and elastane because sports bras need lightness, high tensile strength, rapid recovery and effective moisture management. Mesh and perforated panels increase airflow, while elastane lets the garment move with the body and then return firmly to shape. Padded running styles introduce additional polyester or foam cup layers, so their composition can differ substantially from non-padded versions.
The exact fibre blend varies by style, colour and season. As one clear example, the current non-padded Ultimate Run is 87% polyamide and 13% elastane. Multi Sports and D+ Max use mixed polyester/polyamide/elastane constructions, but current retail listings differ by version, so use the label on the individual bra rather than one brand-wide percentage.
Follow the care label on the individual sports bra. A cool hand wash or gentle machine wash is safest for most technical bras. Fasten hooks, use a lingerie bag if machine washing, avoid bleach and fabric conditioner, and do not tumble dry. Fabric conditioner can coat technical fibres and reduce moisture-management performance. After heavy exercise, rinsing perspiration from the bra promptly can also help protect elastic and fabric finishes.
For gentle hand washing, Soak lingerie wash can be used in a small amount of cool water; rinse only if the individual product care instructions require it and always prioritise the garment label.
