About Lejaby

Maison Lejaby is a French lingerie house rooted in Lyon since 1930. Its story begins with Gabrielle Vianney, whose early bras were known as the 'Gaby' style and helped give the house its name. The brand grew from the Lyon silk and textile tradition, combining delicate fabrics with increasingly technical corsetry.

Lejaby has repeatedly used new materials to change how lingerie feels. The Miss Top bra of 1965 helped bring stretch fabrics into modern corsetry, while the smooth Nuage line of the late 1990s made invisible microfibre lingerie a signature part of the house. Today, the brand still balances decorative French lace with exceptionally clean second-skin styles.

What is Lejaby known for?

Lejaby sizing and our fitting experience

Start with your usual well-fitting UK size. Maison Lejaby uses French sizing on its own labels, so FR 85 corresponds to UK 32, FR 90 to UK 34, FR 95 to UK 36 and FR 100 to UK 38. Above D cup, FR E corresponds to UK DD, F to UK E, G to UK F and H to UK FF.

Cup construction matters more than a blanket size adjustment. A three-part Gaby or Nudité cup gives more depth and containment than a half-cup or push-up Nufit. Nuage Pur creates a smoother, more moulded outline with much less visible seaming.

For fuller or more projected breasts, a three-part cup is the strongest starting point. The wire should surround the breast, the band should sit level, and the top of the cup should lie smoothly without cutting in.

Maison Lejaby briefs are commonly numbered. As a practical guide, 1 is approximately UK 8 / XS, 2 is UK 10 / S, 3 is UK 12 / M, 4 is UK 14 / L, 5 is UK 16 / XL and 6 is UK 18 / 2XL.

How to choose a Lejaby style

Choose a three-part underwired bra for deeper cups, lift and controlled shaping.
Choose Nuage Pur or a Nufit moulded/spacer bra for a smoother line beneath fitted clothing.

Materials and care

Maison Lejaby uses different fibres according to the job of each garment. Polyamide and elastane dominate stretch lace, tulle and smooth technical knits; polyester appears in spacer and moulded cups; cotton is used in selected gussets and linings.

Representative current compositions show that variety clearly. A Nuage Pur smooth underwired bra is 93% polyamide and 7% elastane, a Nuage Pur bodysuit is 81% polyamide, 16% elastane and 3% cotton, while a current Nufit high brief is 70% polyamide, 17% elastane and 13% cotton. Exact percentages vary by style, so check the individual garment when fibre content matters.

Many current Maison Lejaby bras are labelled for hand washing and flat drying. This is the safest routine for underwires, fine lace, spacer cups and removable-strap styles.
