A maternity bra should fit the body you have now while leaving sensible adjustment for normal ribcage change. Recheck your fit after significant pregnancy, postpartum or feeding-related size changes.

Cake changes its fibres according to what each bra needs to do. Popping Candy’s 90% nylon/10% elastane knit prioritises smoothness, stretch recovery and support. Tutti Frutti blends 43% bamboo viscose and 27% cotton with nylon and elastane for a softer, more natural-feeling surface while retaining shape. Tiramisu uses a high proportion of premium recycled yarn, reflecting Cake’s wider emphasis on lower-waste and longer-wearing maternity products.

The brand also uses construction to reduce waste in selected seamless styles, which are knitted to shape rather than cut from large flat fabric panels. For care, use cold water and gentle handling. Cake allows machine washing for several seamless bras when they are placed in a lingerie bag, while hand washing is the gentlest option. Fasten hooks, use a mild detergent and hang or drip dry away from direct heat; tumble drying can shorten the life of elastane, foam and nursing hardware. Soak lingerie wash is suitable for gentle hand washing of washable Cake Maternity bras, provided the individual care label does not instruct otherwise.
