Anita bands are generally true to size, although some models can feel slightly generous or stretchy. A new bra should normally feel secure when fastened on the loosest hook, leaving the tighter settings available as the elastic relaxes with wear.

Anita uses a single-letter cup progression and does not manufacture intermediate double-letter cup sizes such as DD, FF or GG. This means the letter may look different from the one you usually wear even when the cup volume is equivalent. For example, a UK DD converts to an Anita E, while a UK FF converts to an Anita H.

Because this conversion can be confusing, avoid choosing purely by the letter printed on the label. The depth of the cup, width of the wires, amount of coverage and level of stretch all affect the fit, particularly when moving between a wireless support bra, a padded style and a corset.

Anita selects materials according to the support and feel required from each garment. Polyamide and elastane appear widely across the range because they provide smoothness, stretch and reliable shape recovery. Polyester is used in selected cups, linings and decorative fabrics, while cotton and viscose feature in collections where softness and breathability are particularly important.

The differences between the key collections are clear in their fabric compositions. Jana is notably cotton-rich at 80% cotton, while Havanna uses mainly polyamide and elastane for a smoother, silkier finish. Safina combines five fibres, including cotton and viscose, to balance comfort, embroidery and support. Lucia uses polyester, polyamide and elastane, with higher elastane levels in its corsets for increased shaping.
