Anita swimwear relies mainly on polyamide and elastane. Polyamide provides a smooth, lightweight base, while elastane gives the fabric the stretch and recovery needed to fit closely and hold its shape. Common blends across the current range include 80% polyamide with 20% elastane and 73% polyamide with 27% elastane, although some shaping styles use a higher elastane content.
Polyester is used in selected swim fabrics and decorative panels. Beachwear has a different feel and purpose, with viscose widely used for its soft drape, alongside selected polyester, viscose-elastane and linen-viscose pieces.
The exact composition varies considerably between a swimsuit, bikini, tankini and beach dress, so always check the individual product information and the care label.
To keep Anita Swimwear looking its best:
- Rinse the garment promptly in cool fresh water after swimming in chlorine or salt water.
- Hand wash with a gentle detergent and avoid soaking for unnecessarily long periods.
- Do not use bleach, fabric conditioner or harsh detergents.
- Do not wring or twist the fabric.
- Allow swimwear to dry naturally away from radiators and strong direct sunlight.
- Avoid leaving wet swimwear rolled up in a towel or bag.
- Take care around rough pool edges and textured surfaces, which can catch the fabric.
